SUN'S OUT...FUN'S OUT!
A sensational summer camp experience awaits! Lake Shore Montessori summer camp, for ages 2 -7, runs 8 weeks with options for 4-week sessions, full, and half-day programs. We offer a safe place for fun and excitement, where our staff consists of our very own certified Montessori teachers. Camp hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. An registration fee will secure a place for your child in our program.

OUR SUMMER CAMP ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
SWIMMING
4-7 year old campers enjoy swimming lessons once a week at the Highland Park Aquatic Center. Certified lifeguards are the instructors, customizing lessons to each child’s swimming ability. Of course, our Lake Shore Montessori staff is always present to closely supervise the children since safety is our highest priority.
FIELD TRIPS
Special programs are always planned for both indoor and outdoor fun. Because it’s summer, we especially take advantage of the local parks and nature centers.
SPORTS
Our action-packed sports program teaches children the basic concepts of soccer, baseball, and basketball. Our campers learn in a fun, relaxed way, with an emphasis on teamwork and good sportsmanship.
ART
Always a favorite summer activity, this creative program is taught by our stellar art instructor, who helps children explore the wonderful world of art. Using sculpture, collage, drawing, printmaking and paint, each camper expresses their individuality to the fullest.
DANCE & MOVEMENT
Between line dancing, the chicken dance, YMCA, the Macarena, and the Cha Cha Slide, our campers are enthusiastic about moving their bodies. Dancing is great exercise and lots of fun, both indoors and out!
ACADEMICS
Due to popular demand, our language curriculum is now integrated into the Lake Shore Montessori summer camp experience. Specific activities will include letter-sound correspondence, word composition using Montessori language materials, and moving through various basic reading series (including SRA, The Bob Books, and the Rigby Readers). Our curriculum allows for continued academic growth throughout the summer season.
